I dislike pigeons. To me they are nothing but vermin. However, they have adapted themselves to city life extremely well – certainly as well as the rat and the fox, so for that I suppose they get a grudging admiration from me.

I don’t much like football and really couldn’t care less who wins or who loses but I do think that the game needs to get into the 21st century.

My Poem dedicated to the Titanic
A century on since the Titanic was here then gone,
In the blink of an eye a thousand souls were lost,
The unsinkable ship went down with such a huge cost.
Trouble and strife? An understatement to human life.
Yet the life of Titanic still goes on,
With movies and books etc we feast our eyes upon.
Let our prayers for the lost souls never cease,
But there comes a time to let them rest in peace.

Parents are going through divorce and fighting over the children, animals and even the furniture.
Neighbours and their families fighting …. the list is almost endless.

I like watching some sports but not very many. Anything to do with horses is fine. So is cricket. After that it is a bit hit or miss. I didn’t much like playing sport as a child either. Unfortunately, horses were only involved after school. I suppose I quite enjoyed netball but that was about it really. Us girls weren’t allowed to play cricket. I lived in a small town/large village and our P.E. teachers used to make us run cross-country around the village. Always in the rain. Always in winter. Yuk. Hated running. Hate running now.
They also used to make us play field hockey as well. I hated that just as much as cross-county.

It is bad enough that genuinely disabled people are having to go through assessments due to the Welfare Reform Bill.
However, it has been announced today that thousands of jobs will be lost at Remploy.
